Ballrs is a sports trivia game. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Username - Required to play. Visible to other players on leaderboards and in duels.
• Email and password - Optional. Only if you choose to link an email for account recovery.

Information collected automatically

• Game data - Your scores, streaks, XP, level, puzzle history, duel results, league memberships, and friends list.
• Device token - If you enable notifications, we store your push notification token to send you alerts.
• Basic device info - Device type and operating system for app functionality.

Information we do NOT collect

• Location data
• Contacts
• Photos
• Payment information
• Advertising identifiers

How We Use Your Information

• To run the game - Store your progress, display leaderboards, match you in duels, manage leagues and friends.
• To send notifications - Daily puzzle reminders, duel challenges, friend requests (only if you enable notifications).
• To improve the app - Understand how players use features so we can make the game better.

How We Share Your Information

Visible to other players

• Your username
• Your level and title
• Your position on leaderboards
• Your league memberships

Service providers

We use third-party services to operate Ballrs:

• Supabase - Database and authentication (stores your account and game data)
• Expo - Push notifications (receives your device token to deliver notifications)

These providers only access data necessary to provide their services.

We do NOT

• Sell your personal information
• Share your email with anyone
• Use your data for advertising
• Give third parties access to your game history

Data Retention

• Your game data is kept as long as you have an account.
• If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
• Anonymous accounts that are inactive for 12 months may be deleted.

Your Rights

Access and export

You can view your stats and game history in the app at any time.

Delete your account

You can delete your account directly in the app under Profile > Settings > Delete Account. Alternatively, contact us at hello@ballrs.net to request account deletion. We'll delete all your data within 30 days.

Notifications

You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Children's Privacy

Ballrs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure database storage.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date.
